Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5

We went to MP Tony Martin's office after breakfast. MP Brent St Denis was there as well as Timmins - James Bay MP Charlie Angus, Doug Reynolds from NOTO, and Tony's assistant Rick Prashaw. We walked over to the Transport Building for our meeting with Transport Canada. Although we did not hear anything new from Transport Canada we were able to give them a better perspective on the passenger train needs of Northern Ontario. We did thank them for the one replacement train they had provided. We identified the deficient areas in wheel chair access and the loading of heavy equipment such as snowmachines and ATV's. We also spoke about why our northern communities need our trains to support and diversify our economies as well as rail transportation between communities.

After our meeting with Transport Canada we went to the press conference that Tony Martin had set up and MP Tony Martin, Linda Savory-Gordon, Al Errington, Doug Reynolds and MP Charlie Angus all made statements to the press and answered questions. We will put those stories up on our website as soon as possible as well.

And that was it. Our first "All Aboard" passenger train adventure was over and it was time to clean up and head home. We will be getting together soon to discuss next steps based on what we have learned about our two wilderness railways, the communities and our two levels of government.

We thank all of you for your support and look forward to seeing all you great people we met this week, again.
